Well, I'm a Nikon girl but in the end it's the eye and not the camera that makes the photographer.

Anyway, I thought it would be interesting to hear from other photographers and see what they prefer and why.

ooh! very touchy subject for some but very interesting all the same. As most of you know my tribe is very much Nikonian but thats really only the case because I like the way Nikons handle. The only thing that right now canon out guns Nikon in is in Video, the nikon D90 which I have started it but canon sorta took over since then. I guess if you are a documentary photographer video gives you another dimension or vehicle to tell your story. I see the merits creatively too.

After all that I still love the d700 for sheer quality and low light awesomeness, ok canon has more pixels but in my experience more pixels equals more noise in low light.

It's interesting what you say, Innocent as I have been using Canon cameras for many years mostly because they handle fantastically!
I tried Nikons a few times and just couldn't get used to them...

And the video on my 7D is just fantastic!
